This page describes what happens to an image when you convert it here. It is short because the service does very little with your data, and everything it does is listed.
Your Images
An image you upload is held in memory while it is converted and is discarded as soon as your PowerPoint file has been delivered, or within 10 minutes if you never download it. It is not written to disk, not backed up, and not used to train anything.
The text we read out of your image exists only for as long as the conversion runs, and goes only into the PowerPoint file we hand back to you.
Your images are processed on our own server. They are not sent to any third-party AI service.
What We Keep
Anonymous operational logs: how many pages a conversion had, how long each stage took, and whether it succeeded. These let us find out why the service is slow or broken.
Those logs never contain your images, the text we read from them, your file names, or anything else that identifies you or your content.
Cookies
One cookie, and it is necessary for the service to function: it ties your browser to the conversion you started, so that progress updates and the finished file reach you and not someone else. It contains a random identifier, nothing else, and it expires with your session.
Unless you decline on the notice banner or turn analytics off in Cookie settings, the measurement tags described under Third parties set their own cookies to count the visit and conversion steps; those cookies hold a random identifier, never your images, your file names, or the text read out of them. You can decline on the banner or change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer, which deletes those cookies from this browser and reloads the page without the measurement script. There is no advertising cookie. While the bot check described under Third parties runs, Cloudflare may use cookies on its own domain; it sets none under ours.
Third Parties
The typeface is served from our own domain, and the page loads no advertising script.
Unless you decline analytics, the page loads a Google Tag Manager container from googletagmanager.com, run by Google LLC, which loads the measurement tags we configure in it. They see what any web analytics tag sees: which page you opened, where you arrived from, non-content conversion step counts, your browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. They never see your images, the text read out of them, or your file names, none of which leave our server. Google's privacy policy applies to what it collects. Your choice is kept in this browser's own storage for a year; it is not a cookie and it never reaches us.
A second component may run: a bot check by Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile), which we switch on when automated traffic would otherwise crowd out real people. When it is on, the page loads a script from challenges.cloudflare.com. When you start a conversion, the check examines your browser and connection, never your images, and gives us a one-time token that our server verifies with Cloudflare. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that check.
Our hosting and network providers necessarily handle the traffic that reaches us, as they would for any website.
Accounts
There are none. We do not ask for your name, your email address, or a password, and we have no way to associate a conversion with a person.
Your Rights
Because we keep no personal data beyond the anonymous logs described above, there is normally nothing for us to hand over, correct, or erase on request.
If you believe we hold something about you and want it dealt with, write to [email protected] and we will answer.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
